Details of the Vivo X100 and Watch 3 launch

The Vivo Watch 3 and X100 series will launch on November 13 at 5:00 PM CST (about 2:30 PM IST). Vivo made this information public on Weibo.

The vanilla X100’s 12+256GB model has been hinted at by the company. We saw this model a few days ago for CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 46,200) on China’s JD.com.

It has also been confirmed that OriginOS 4, which is based on Android 14, will be the launch OS for the Vivo series in China.

Regarding the Watch 3, the business plans to integrate its proprietary BlueOS into it.

Specifications for the Vivo X100 series (expected)

  • Display: The 120Hz AMOLED screen with curved edges and a punch-hole cutout may be seen on all Vivo series phones.
  • Cameras: A 50MP IMX989 primary camera (supporting OIS and variable aperture), a 50MP IMX598 ultrawide camera, a 50MP IMX758 telephoto camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor with an optical zoom of up to 10x could be included in the Pro+ model.
  • Processor: The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC may power the Vivo Pro+, while the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC may power the other two models. Recently, the Snapdragon-borne model’s AnTuTu score leaked, showing some very high scores.
  • Software: As previously indicated, OriginOS, which is based on Android 14, may be shipped with the Chinese versions. Funtouch OS is probably what India and international units will have instead.
  • Battery: A 5,400mAh battery may be included with the Pro model. It is currently unknown how big the batteries are in the other two models. Vivo could provide 50W wireless charging and up to 120W fast charging for the X100 series.

Details of the Vivo Watch 3 with BlueOS

As of right now, all we know about the Vivo Watch 3 is that it will come pre-installed with BlueOS and feature a circular bezel.

Devices with specifications ranging from 200MHz CPU and 32MB of RAM to 4GHz CPU and 24GB RAM can run the recently released BlueOS. It supports concurrency and multimodal scalability and is based on the Rust programming language.

BlueXlink connectivity protocol, which is a feature of BlueOS, is also supposed to enable safe and easy data transfer between devices and platforms.

A video that was leaked shows us the alleged BlueOS interface’s app library, which resembles a honeycomb. I think that’s it.
