Now, a tipster claims that the upcoming Vivo X200 series will be the first to be equipped with the yet-to-be-announced MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor. Via Weibo, tipster Smart Pikachu revealed that the upcoming Vivo X200 series of phones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, and they will be the first smartphones to feature this MediaTek chipset. It is worth noting that the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro were also the first phones to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. So, this hypothesis may be true. However, official details are awaited, as the launch of the series chipset is still months away. The tipster also mentioned that the S-series will not be launched, suggesting that there is no successor to the Vivo X100s and Vivo X100s Pro. No other details about the Vivo X200 series have been revealed yet.

Details of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset

Besides the Vivo X200 series, the upcoming OPPO Find X8 series has also recently been reported to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC. For those unaware, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC will be the company’s next flagship chipset and will compete with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

However, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset lags with 13,30,057  points. The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC scored a performance score of 34,49,366, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC scored 31,33,570.

Meanwhile, the Geekbench website has revealed that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC with a score of 2,845 holds the edge over the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC which scored 2,776 in the single-core test However, the Dimensity 9400 chipset scored 11,739 points. Meanwhile, in the multi-core test, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC could only score 10,628 points. Though not confirmed, these chipsets will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2024, most likely in October or November. More details about the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC are expected to be revealed soon.
