According to a report, the Huawei Mate 60 Series could support PA Chips for satellite voice calls.

It is anticipated that the Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with the codename SM8525 will power the Huawei Mate 60 series.

The introduction of the Huawei Mate 60 series is anticipated soon. The Huawei Mate 50 series, which debuted in September 2022, is set to be replaced by the future portfolio. The Huawei Mate 50, Huawei Mate 50 Pro, and Huawei Mate 50 RS Porsche Design were all part of the Mate 50 series. The rumored Mate 60 series cellphones may now have sophisticated satellite connectivity functions, according to a recent report.

According to the article, these PA chips aid in boosting the signal produced by the communication integrated circuit and feeding it to an antenna. Successful satellite communication, including voice communications, requires this amplification technique.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, if these chips are there, the Huawei Mate 60 phones would support voice calling over a satellite connection without network connections.

With the use of these PA chips, users of the Huawei Mate X3 and Huawei P60 series devices, such as the Huawei P60, Huawei P60 Pro, and Huawei P60 Art models, may send and receive SMS using two-way satellite communication.

Instead of using ground network signals, the satellite connection establishes radio linkages with other phones or the telephone network via satellites orbiting the Earth. Any remote area or place outside the range of terrestrial coverage is where this technology is most beneficial. Other than Apple, Samsung has also created a two-way satellite networking technology of its own.
