BIS

The Moto G85 BIS certification, as spotted by MySmartPrice, suggests that it will have the model number XT2427-3. The BIS listing indicates that the phone will be heading to India considering that certification is mandatory for any electronic product to arrive in the country. The handset will be available as a successor to the Moto G84 5G.

TDRA

The TDRA certification confirms the phone’s trade name: Moto G85 5G. However, the listing doesn’t reveal much about the phone except that it will come with 5G network support.

TENAA

The Moto G85 has been unveiled in TENAA certification and reveals some key details about the phone. The specifications suggest that the phone will feature a 6.6-inch OLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels. This is a slight jump from the 6.55-inch screen of the Moto G84 5G.

An octa-core processor with a 2.3GHz peak clock speed will power the phone. While chipset details have not been revealed, it could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 based on the Geekbench listing. This will replace the Snapdragon 695 SoC in the Moto G84. The chipset can be paired with 8GB/12GB/16GB/18GB RAM and 12GB/256GB/1TB storage options.
The phone will be housed by a 4,850mAh battery but can be sold at a 5000mAh capacity. This is the same bracket as the Moto G84. The Moto G85 is expected to come with a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary shooter. There should be a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies. This is an upgrade from the 16MP shooter on the Moto G84 5G. The TENAA listing suggests that the phone will measure 161.9×73×7.5mm and weighs 171 grams. As mentioned, the Moto G85 will be the successor to the Moto G84.
The Geekbench listing shows that the phone managed to score 939 points in the single-core round and 2092 points in the multi-core section. The listing also reveals that the Moto G85 will run on Android 14 OS out of the box.
According to retail website listings, the high-end 12GB + 256GB variant of the Moto G85 5G has been revealed to cost EUR 300 (roughly Rs 27,200). For reference, the Moto G84 5G was launched in India at Rs 19,999 for the base model. Leaked renders showed the handset in Brass, Dark Gray, and Blue color variants.
