Nothing Phone 2a, the third smartphone from the brand run by former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, was officially launched in India on Tuesday (March 5). The latest handset from the UK-based business operates on the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC and has an AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It features dual 50-megapixel cameras on the back and is IP54-rated. The Nothing Phone 2a expands the company’s trademark Glyph Interface with a new set of light configurations and functionality.

Nothing Phone 2a price in India:

The Nothing Phone 2a is priced at Rs. 23,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage combination. The phone is also available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage options, which cost Rs. 25,999 and Rs. 27,999, respectively. It comes in white and black and will be available for purchase on Flipkart beginning March 12.

Nothing Phone 2a is available for a special launch price of Rs. 19,999 on Flipkart for one day only on March 12. Furthermore, the e-commerce company is offering Rs. 2,000 cashback on orders made with HDFC bank cards. Buyers can also get an additional Rs. 2,000 discount on swaps. Additionally, there are no-cost EMI options for up to nine months.

The Nothing Phone 2a, which is dual-SIM (nano), runs Nothing OS 2.5, which is built on Android 14. It is guaranteed to receive three years of Android upgrades and four years of security patches. It has a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display (1,080×2,412 pixels) with an adjustable refresh rate of 30Hz to 120Hz, 394ppi pixel density, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen supports HDR10+ and features a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, a PWM frequency of 2160Hz, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC with up to 12GB of RAM.

The Nothing Phone 2a features a dual camera configuration with two 50-megapixel sensors. The main 50-megapixel sensor features an f/1.88 aperture lens and a 1/1.56-inch size, and it supports both optical and electronic image stabilization. The secondary 50-megapixel ultrawide-angle sensor has an aperture of f/2.2 and a field of vision of 114 degrees. The smartphone’s front-facing camera boasts a 32-megapixel resolution and an f/2.2 aperture.

The Nothing Phone 2a has up to 256GB of built-in storage. The smartphone’s connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6 Direct, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, 360-degree antenna, and a USB Type-C connection. Sensors on board include an in-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, electronic compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. It features high-definition microphones and dual stereo speakers. It boasts an IP54 dust and water-resistant construction and supports the face unlock feature for authentication.

Nothing matches the Phone 2a’s 5,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging capabilities. This is a major improvement over Phone 1’s 4,500mAh battery and Phone 2’s 4,700mAh battery unit. The battery unit is supposed to last up to two days on a single charge. The company claims that it charges the battery from 0 to 50% in 23 minutes and 100% in 59 minutes. It measures 161.74 x 76.32 x 8.55 mm and weighs 190 grams.
