Last year, the Infinix Zero 30 5G launched in India, and now there is speculation that its successor, the Infinix Zero 40 5G, may soon be released. Although Infinix has not yet provided any specifics about the Zero 40 5G, it has appeared on several certification sites, including Geekbench and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). These listings have unveiled some key details about the upcoming device.

Let us discuss some key highlights. The Geekbench listing suggests that the Infinix Zero 40 5G will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8200. The upcoming Infinix smartphone is expected to come in 12GB+512GB storage variants. The smartphone is also expected to be launched in a Polar Black color option.

The smartphone has appeared on the Geekbench site with the model number X6861, achieving scores of 1096 in single-core and 3274 in multi-core tests. The listing suggests that the upcoming Infinix phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, the same one found in the Vivo V30 Pro and Vivo Y100t. This represents an upgrade from the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset used in its predecessor. Additionally, the listing reveals that the Infinix Zero 40 5G will feature 12GB of RAM and run on the Android 14 operating system.

Conversely, the smartphone has also been spotted on the FCC with the same model number, X6861. According to the FCC listing, the smartphone will measure 164 x 74 x 8mm, slightly different from its predecessor’s dimensions of 164.5 x 75 x 7.9mm. The ID label indicates that the Zero 40 5G will come with 12GB of RAM, consistent with the Geekbench details, and will offer at least 512GB of internal storage. Additionally, the phone will be available in Polar Black, a shade of black, whereas the Zero 30 5G was launched in Golden Hour and Rome Green colors.

The details also hint at the design of the rear panel, suggesting it will feature a triple rear camera setup housed in a round camera module with an LED flash. Additionally, there is another cutout on the upper-left corner of the rear panel, though it remains unclear if this is intended for an LED flash or another component.

Currently, no additional details are known about the upcoming smartphone. Although there is no official confirmation, it is speculated that it might be priced similarly to its predecessor.
