Mark Gurman predicts the arrival of iPad Pro models with the M3 chip, OLED displays, and redesigned Magic Keyboard in 2024.

The second half of 2024 may be the earliest that devotees can purchase one of Apple’s powerful new iPad Pro models.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple is working on a new Pro model of its well-known tablet with improvements in the processor, display, and camera departments. The iPad Pro, Apple’s top-of-the-line tablet model, may be refreshed by Apple in the first significant hardware upgrade in nearly six years. Two new iPad Pro versions featuring the M2 chip’s successor and OLED panels are expected to be released by Apple the following year. Additionally, a new model of the company’s iPad Pro Magic Keyboard accessory is rumored to be coming out.

Gurman claims that the internal model numbers for Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro models are J717, J718, J720, and J721 in the most recent edition of his weekly email.

These will also be the first tablets from the company to utilise the display technology featured on its smartphones, if the information from the leak is genuine. Compared to LCD panels, OLED displays are superior at accurately portraying colors and can provide higher brightness levels.

According to Gurman, Apple’s rumored M3 microprocessor, which is also anticipated to appear on the company’s upcoming line of PCs and laptops, will be included in the new iPad models.

The Cupertino corporation is rumored to adopt the 3nm technology, which might provide better efficiency and enhanced performance compared to the 4nm M2 chips on its current-generation MacBook, iPad, and Mac models.

Gurman claims that Apple will release minor updates to other tablets, such as the iPad Air or the iPad mini, before the Pro model is released next year, so enthusiasts may have to wait until the second half of 2024 for the company to announce the launch of the rumored iPad Pro with an M3 chip.
