Apple Vision Pro launch date is officially revealed: price, sale date, and more

Apple has announced the release date of the long-awaited Vision Pro VR headset in a press release. We learn about its cost, how to obtain the prescription lens, pricing, in-box contents, and where to purchase all of these items. So, seven months after Apple announced the Vision Pro at WWDC, we finally have information on how to purchase a pair. Here, take a look:

Apple Vision Pro Release Date and Price

  • Apple Vision Pro will be available in the United States beginning February 2nd at Apple stores (both online and offline). You can pre-order it starting January 19th at 5 a.m. PT or 6:30 p.m. IST.
  • The Vision Pro starts at Rs 2,90,679.43 for the 256GB variant.
  • Apple says the Vision Pro will be released in other countries later this year.

Apple Vision Pro prescription lens, packaging, and additional information

  • The ZEISS Optical Inserts — Readers are available for Rs 8,224, while the ZEISS Optical Inserts — Prescription are priced at Rs 12,378.18.
  • There are two fit options: a Solo Knit Band and a Dual Loop Band. These keep the Vision Pro optimally close to your eyes and ears.
  • The box also contains a Light Seal, two different Light Seal Cushions, a front cover for the device, a battery, a USB-C charge cable, a USB-C power adapter, and a polishing cloth.
  • Vision Pro consists of two micro-OLED displays that share 23 million pixels. The display features laminated glass and 12 cameras, all housed in an aluminum body with the aforementioned lenses, light seal cushions, cover, and straps. The headset includes a button for capturing spatial photos and videos, as well as a Digital Crown for controlling screen immersion. The underlying software is VisionOS, and the processing is done by a combination of M2 and R1 chips. You can interact with the VisionOS through finger gestures, eye movements, and speech.
